Devil Smacker

Are you a bed-ridden follower of Jesus Christ?

He wants to utilize you in His kingdom warfare. He wants to use you like a “battle-ax” to conquer the Dark Side.

You are My battle-ax and weapons of war:
For with you I will break the nation in pieces;
With you I will destroy kingdoms;
With you I will break in pieces the horse and its rider;
With you I will break in pieces the chariot and its rider;
… And with you I will break in pieces governors and rulers.”

( Jeremiah 51:20-23 )

He has weapons that are mighty through God for pulling down strongholds and messengers of death.

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God…”

( 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 )

He will wage war through your willing and faith-filled heart that will agree with His will in prayer.

If you feel about as effective as a bed-ridden sick person with a heavy fry pan facing an army with death in their eyes, don’t forget what a faith filled shepherd boy did with just a sling and a stone.

From our beds, let’s pray like Elijah. Let’s pray like Paul. Let’s pray like Jesus. Through Christ we can be very victorious as conquering Devil smackers!

The Ultimate Balanced View of Life

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

~ Philippians 1:21 ~

The Apostle Paul seemed to have found the ultimate balanced view of life.  He was content to live life with Christ even in his trials and imprisonments, yet he also looked forward to the day he was going to die.  He was torn between which one he wanted the most, not that he had a death-wish, but that he had come to know Christ so personally and his faith had become so real to him that life and death, well, both offered great hope for him!

If he lived, he did so with and in Christ.  If he died, he went to be with Christ in a greater, more real and permanent way.  Either way, he was overjoyed in Christ, and death (and life’s trials!) had lost their sting!

I hope and pray that you can enter that place with Christ where the prospects of either life or death offer you the greatest joy of all, and the greatest balanced view of living that anyone could ever know… that of being with and in Christ!

A couple of weeks ago I had a health issue that hit me, and the doctors at the hospital said that I had come close to landing in the morgue.  I got excited inside!  Not because I have a death wish, but because I had come so close to realizing the joy of being with and in Christ beyond this life.  I love this life, don’t get me wrong!  I just find that I too am torn between whether I want to be here with and in Christ, or in heaven with and in Christ.

“For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.  Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful…”

~ Philippians 1:23-24

I am content with life.  I am also content with death.  Either way, I get to be with and in Christ!!

See you at the altar, my friend, where we can seek the face of Christ together, and to have established within our hearts and minds His ultimate balanced view of life and living!
