Receiving Scraps from Ravens?

A Daily Leadership Essentials Quote
from Veritas Leadership Journal at HeartPathJournal.net
by David J. Hall

“Sometimes His miracles are not in the form that we think they should be. We might think we need money for the next step, but He may provide a different resource. We might think that He will open big doors to big places, but instead He may lead us into a desert. We might think we need gift certificates to a grocery store, but He may instead command Ravens to bring us scraps of food.”

Bedridden Warriors

A Daily Thought Provoker Quote
from Heart & Path Journal at HeartPathJournal.net
Online Publications of David J. Hall

“If you feel about as effective as a bedridden sick person with a heavy fry pan facing an army with death in their eyes, don’t forget what a faith-filled shepherd boy did with just a sling and a stone.

From our beds, let’s pray like Elijah. Let’s pray like Paul. Let’s pray like Jesus. Through Christ we can be very victorious as conquering Devil smackers!”

Re-Forgiving Those We Have Un-Forgiven

A Daily Thought Provoker Quote
from Heart & Path Journal at HeartPathJournal.net
Online Publications of David J. Hall

“Forgiveness of others is not easy, but it is necessary and can certainly be done. By definition, forgiveness is never deserved and can never be earned or purchased.

Forgiveness is given by an act of the will, and sometimes when we have been deeply wounded we will do well to reaffirm our forgiveness everyday until we are no longer tempted by the lingering pain to un-forgive them.”

Happiness is… An Earthly Father, A Heavenly Father

[This was originally posted on my Facebook Wall in April 2010.  Today I am reposting it as a tribute to both of my Fathers, earthly and Heavenly.]

Happiness is… having an earthly father who is sensitive to the leading of our Heavenly Father!!

This afternoon (April 2010) I was diagnosed as having “Full Blown Diabetes,” otherwise known as “Type 2 Diabetes.” When I arrived home I sat down, lifted my hands in praise and worship to my Heavenly Father, and cried with tears.

Within 5 seconds (that’s FIVE SECONDS!) my phone rang.

And who was calling me? It was my earthly father calling me [from Texas] in response to his feeling led by our Heavenly Father to… call me and check in on me!

In the midst of one of life’s storms my Heavenly Father sent His best representative on earth to comfort me, to encourage me, and to strengthen me in His place: My earthly father!

Thanks father, and Father! Thanks dad, and Dad! Thanks abba, and Abba!

Surely, happiness is… having an earthly father who is sensitive to the leading of, and the representation of, our Heavenly Father!!

Pastors, Master the Art of Prayer

A Daily Leadership Essentials Quote
from Veritas Leadership Journal at HeartPathJournal.net
by David J. Hall

The soul-winner must be a master of the art of prayer. You cannot bring souls to God if you go not to God yourself. You must get your battle-ax, and your weapons of war, from the armoury of sacred communication with Christ. If you are much alone with Jesus, you will catch His Spirit; you will be fired with the flame that burned in His breast, and consumed His life.”

God’s Grace for Joy in Pain

“In a sense, the pain is almost surreal, but God’s grace is so real, and is provided through His tangible Presence! His grace does not take my pain away. His grace does however equip me physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually to endure the pain, and to do so with a heart that is filled with joy and is established in peaceHis peace!

Prayer Builds a Temple for God’s Use

A Daily Thought Provoker Quote
from Heart & Path Journal at HeartPathJournal.net
Online Publications of David J. Hall

image-5

“Prayer is the atmosphere in which we [more readily] have our own will deconstructed down to its most basic building blocks, then reconstructed into a temple wherein God’s Will may reside and from which His Will may operate and achieve its goal ‘on earth as it is in heaven.'”

( David J. Hall )

Last phrase is from the Lord’s Prayer,
“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
(Luke 11:2 – NKJV)

Are You Carrying Your Cross?

A Daily Thought Provoker Quote
from Heart & Path Journal at HeartPathJournal.net
Online Publications of David J. Hall

image-5

“… and anyone who does not take his own cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.”

( Jesus, Matthew 10:38 )

Have you identified your cross and called it YOUR CROSS? What are you doing with it today?

In the above verse, what did Jesus NOT say?
He didn’t say:

🔹“Rebuke your cross!”
🔹“Blame & curse those who gave you that cross!”
🔹“Find your own way with your own cross!”

He DID say, “Take up [YOUR CROSS] and follow ME…”

Its YOUR cross, so pick it up, set it squarely on your shoulders, and follow the footsteps of Jesus that have been pre-printed in the dirt by His Own faithful journey!

When the Dictators Finally Die

Fidel Castro, communist revolutionary and self-enriching strongman of the small Caribbean nation of Cuba, has passed away at the age of 90. The cruel spirit in which he treated all of the Cuban people and specifically, persecuted the Christian church, resulted in an estimated 100,000 murders.

A lifetime of incarceration and torture were also standard fare for people who spoke against his regime, resisted his orders, or tried to escape the island nation on makeshift rafts. Millions of people have suffered poverty, hunger, illness, and basic human rights during his dictatorial reign as a thug disguised as a revolutionary for freedom.

He leaves behind an estimated net worth of $900 million dollars which [along with his power-base] will most likely be transferred to his 85 year old brother, Raul Castro.

“… when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.”

( Proverbs ‭11:10‬ )

The Cuban people need our intercessory prayer, especially during this time of transition.
