God Crushes Satan

Is the enemy posing a threat that is imminent, dangerous, and fear inducing?

Rejoice because God Crushes Satan!

“Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”

~ Romans 16:19-20

Our lifestyle of obedience, wisdom, and innocence is a strategic collaboration with God’s crushing power.

The heavens and the earth are so incredibly beautiful!

It would take an eternity to observe and soak-in every scene. Imagine viewing every single location, every minute throughout every day and night, in every season, for a decade. No two snap-shots in time are the same, as unique as a fingerprint.

God has the most incredible, fully dimensional photo album!

You Are His Joy!

“For the joy set before Him, Jesus endured the cross…”

~ Hebrews 12:2

That joy that was set before Jesus could only be realized if He went through a crucifixion process. What could possibly inspire so much joy as to keep Him fully motivated to endure such pain, suffering, and shame?

You! You are His Joy!

His anticipation of your love for Him today is the joy that kept Jesus motivated through the cross those 2,000 years ago. Now THAT is a powerful Joy!

You are His Joy!

Soul-Pouring Prayer

The story of Hannah is a beautiful one for both men and women alike.

She had been unable to conceive a child, resulting in her feeling deeply troubled with “great anguish and grief.” But, she knew where to go, and on Whom she could call.

She went before the Lord, and poured out her heart and soul to Him. Even though Eli, the priest, misunderstood her condition and situation, she continued in the expression of her inner most being to the Lord.

“‘I am a woman who is deeply troubled… I was pouring out my soul to the Lord… I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.’

Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.”

( 1 Samuel 1:15-18 )

Having finished her intimate time in prayer, she went on with her daily life. After her soul-pouring prayer, her countenance was brightened and her depression was lifted.

Oh, and she and her husband soon conceived a child. His name was Samuel, and he became one of the outstanding men of God whose life and ministry are recorded in scripture.

We are blessed today and Hannah was blessed back then because she engaged in Soul-Pouring Prayer.

What kind of blessings will be poured out upon your life… if you will pray like Hannah? What kind of blessings will be poured from Heaven upon the people around you… if you will pray like Hannah?

See you at the altar… of Soul-Pouring Prayer.

Christ is Faithful

Christ has no hidden loopholes in His promises. He has willingly, joyously, and with full knowledge of our past, present, and future, committed Himself to us, The Church, His Bride.

His commitment is to The Church as a whole, and to us Individually. Thankfully, His faithfulness is not based upon what we “feel” or “think” about ourselves. His faithfulness is based upon His character and His word.

When He has a rough day “at the office” He doesn’t come home, kick the dog, and slap His bride around. He is the perfect God Who created the universe, and created us.

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our harts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

( 2 Corinthians 1:20-22 )

He created us in perfection, but being born into a sin-world we have become damaged goods. Thankfully, He looks beyond our scars, loves us today, and is healing His bride to the point that we will be without “spot or wrinkle.”

We can trust Christ, He is faithful!

True Equality

“For God does not show favoritism.”‭‭  ( Romans‬ ‭2:11‬ )

“My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.”  ( James‬ ‭2:1‬ )

“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith… There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”  ( Galatians 3:26-28 )

Reservations for New Jerusalem

The other day a thought struck me, bringing great joy and excitement to me, that Teresa and I are going to be living in Israel soon!

For those of us who follow Christ in our faith, we have a new hometown to look forward to in the near future for eternity!

“The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of My God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from My God; and I will also write on them My new name.”

( Revelation‬ ‭3:12‬ )

There are two hometown options for a person to choose from in regard to eternity. The city of New Jerusalem is the preferred option, the second option is much, much less desirable as it is in a desert climate.

Have you asked the Lord for your free airfare reservation for your transportation? If you will love Him and ask of Him, He will write your name in the book of reservations. He has already paid the price for you.

Be ready, as His charter air service will be arriving soon to pick up all of His pre-ticketed friends. Watch for the “Rapture” charter air service whose promo tag is “You will be Caught Up into the Air by our service!” The flight’s boarding call will be announced by a trumpet blast.

Your reservation is not only for the Rapture air service. It also serves as the reservation for your very own home in the city of New Jerusalem, a home designed by Him specifically with you in mind. The construction has been underway for about 2,000 years!

As a beautiful song says:

“People get ready,
Jesus is coming,
To take from the world His own.”

When Jesus Sleeps…

Do you feel like you are being hit by one of the biggest storms of your life, and Jesus just seems to have fallen asleep? The disciples experienced that very same thing!

“As they sailed, He fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke Him, saying, ‘Master, Master, we’re going to drown!’

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. ‘Where is your faith?’ He asked his disciples.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, ‘Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him.’”‭‭

( Luke‬ ‭8:23-25‬ )

That day Jesus wasn’t being negligent, or too tired to bother with paying attention. Instead, He was sleeping because He already had everything under control — including the winds and the waves! In this particular case, in order to demonstrate to the disciples that He had the storm under control while it raged, He calmed the storm so the disciples could see the fact of His omnipotence in the elements.

Likewise, in your life-sized storm Jesus may seem to be asleep, and maybe He is (in a sense of the word). However, He is not being negligent or distracted by another situation in the world. In the midst of your raging storm, Jesus has it all under control.

Let Him demonstrate His power in any number of ways, one of which is to have you go through the storm safely while on your way to your next destination.

Storms make for wild rides. When we know Jesus is with us in our boat, somehow the fear disappears [like it did for the disciples when their storm was calmed], while we ride out the storm.

Either way, Jesus is the Commander of our Storms of Life.

No Fear!

Bad Girls

Throughout history some of the baddest of the bad have changed their course in life by turning to God.

“By Faith the prostitue Rahab… was not… with those who were disobedient.”

( Hebrews 11:31 )

“… was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did…”

( James 2:25 )

Rahab, a prostitute, changed the course of her life when she put her faith and allegiance in God. She was blessed by God, and God was not ashamed of her; she is listed in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.

Ladies, let today be The Day that you give up your Bad Girl avatar, and pick up your new symbol of honor, the Cross of Christ.

Press On Today!

Forget Yesterday’s Failures, Press On Today, Envision Tomorrow’s Victories!

“Not that I have… already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me… Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me…”

( Philippians 3:12-14 )

In the Athlete’s gym, disciplined body-training with perseverance turns today’s crushing weights into next year’s normal workout routine.

In the Christian’s life, disciplined spirit-training with perseverance turns today’s crushing trials into next year’s routine challenges.

Press on today, my friend. God allows trials into our lives to serve as instruments for our character development, and as environments in which we can practice and learn how to walk in step with the Holy Spirit.

“… whenever you face trials of many kinds… the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

‭( James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ )
